Amazing Grace
Grace is a 15-year-old Westphalian mare based out of the East Coast. Grace has competed at Capital Challenge, WEF, Lake Placid, WIHS, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, WEC and WCHR Developing Pro and Pro Challenges. She recently competed in the Large Junior Hunters with current senior Purdue team member, Abby Cole. Since joining the team in the fall of 2024, Grace’s calm demeanor and large stride let riders feel the ideal hunter ride.
Cool 1
Uno is a 15-year-old KWPN gelding from Three Ships LLC based out of Indianapolis, Indiana with considerable show experience in all 3 rings from National Finals to WEF. He is the ultimate packer with the easiest lead change in the barn. We were happy to add this barn favorite in the fall of 2024.
Kensington
Clay came to the team in the fall of 2024. He is a 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding from Three Ships LLC based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Clay has an extensive show record in the hunters at GLEF, Kentucky, WEC, Lamplight, and Brownland. He is an eye-catching high-quality hunter with top placings on his record. Clay best teaches riders of all levels confidence and feel.
Unprecedented
Preston is a 12-year-old Warmblood gelding who was donated to Purdue last season by Alice Goodwin of Three Ships LLC. He has an impressive show background, competing up to the 3’6 hunters and at events like Devon and Junior Hunter Finals. He is a versatile partner who helps riders become more consistent and confident. Preston is a true favorite in the barn, and we are so grateful to call him our own!
Dahlia
Dahlia is a 18-year-old Danish Warmblood mare generously loaned out by a family based in Carmel, Indiana. We are welcoming her for her first year with the team! Before joining the team, Dahlia started in eventing then competed in the meter jumpers and in the equitation ring. She is a lovely mare who can help so many riders build confidence. We are thrilled to watch her succeed in the IHSA and so grateful to have her join the Purdue Equestrian Team!
Dia Centa PS
Kanga is an 11-year-old Oldenburg mare who was donated to Purdue this year by Three Ships LLC. Her résumé is impressive: she has competed in the jumpers up to 1.25 meters at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Split Rock Jumping Tour, and other well-known A Circuit shows. Under saddle, she is an athletic, well-educated mare and a stunning mover who turns heads in the ring. On the ground, she’s a total sweetheart who loves attention and treats.
Lorenzo
Enzo is a 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding. Enzo is provided by current Purdue Equestrian Freshman, Ike Williams. He grew up in Belgium, lived briefly in England before being imported to The States. Enzo has shown through the 3’3 and now spends his time championing the 2’-2’6 divisions. He is an amazing teacher to all. We are so grateful to have Enzo join us for his first year on the team!
Canterbury Tales
Cupid is a 16-year-old Westphalian Warmblood gelding imported from Germany. Cupid is provided by Teresa Castaneda of JG Equestrian. He competed up to the 3ft hunters at local shows and is always the hack winner. We are so grateful to have Cupid on the team and teaching riders the fundamentals of a strong leg. Fun fact, Cupid’s favorite treats are Bananas or Sour Patch Watermelons!
Happy Hour
Happy is an 11-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding who was donated to Purdue this year from Three Ships LLC. He is loving college life! Before joining the team, Happy was a three-ring horse competing on the A Circuit, primarily showing in the equitation divisions up to 3’3. We are welcoming this gentle giant to the team with open arms, and he has quickly proven that he loves his job, teaching riders from the Introductory through Open levels.
Lilly
Lily is a 17-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare generously loaned by Camp Tecumseh, home of the Purdue Equestrian Team. With an extensive dressage background, she is a well-educated mare who loves teaching riders connection and balance. Lily is sweet and honest, and we are so grateful to Camp Tecumseh for sharing her with us for her second season!
Beetle Juice
Beetle is a 15-year-old Haflinger Palomino pony generously loaned by Purdue alumna Charlotte Doekes. He is well loved throughout the region for his outgoing, confident personality. Beetle enjoys teaching riders how to stay connected, strong, and secure in the saddle. This is his third season with the Purdue Equestrian Team, and we are so happy to have him each year!
The Bachelors Rebellion
Axle is an 18-year-old gelding who was donated to Purdue in 2024 by Rebel Heart Farms. He is a wonderful teacher for Introductory and Novice riders, both under saddle and on the ground. Axle is the kind of horse who teaches riders how to build up their toolbox and trust their abilities. He is a reliable, kind partner, and we are so grateful to have him on the team!
