The Purdue Equestrian Team is run by a student executive board with the aid of a faculty advisor. All members have the opportunity to run for officer positions during each Fall Semester.

Yasmin Pirbhai – President
Yasmin is a senior studying Nutrition Science on a Pre-Med track from Kalamazoo, MI. She competes in the Limit division and her favorite part of PET is “All of the amazing friends I have made!”

Lauren dunnett – Vice President
Lauren is a junior studying Genetics from White Heath, IL. She competes in the Intermediate and Limit divisions, and her favorite part of PET is “Having such a tight community within a large school. Purdue has such a large campus and the team makes it feel more like home!”

audrey Hostrawser – horse care manager
Audrey is a junior studying Botany with a minor in Farm Management. She is from Noblesville, IN, and competes in the Intermediate and Limit divisions. Her favorite part of PET is “The support we have for one another!”

Payton gault – horse care manager
Payton is a senior studying Animal Sciences on a Pre-Vet track from West Linn, OR, and competes in the Novice division. Her favorite part of PET is “The close and supportive community!”

Nicolas laplante – Barn manager
Nicolas is a senior in Animal Sciences from Carmel, IN. He competes in the Intermediate division and his favorite part of PET is “The small sense of community this team provides to such a large school.”

Abby Talcott – Horse Show manager
Abby is a senior studying Pharmacy and Marketing from Waldorf, MD. She competes in the Open and Intermediate divisions, and her favorite part of PET is “Being able to meet new people with similar interests and hang out with my friends.”

Aveena rawal – public relations
Aveena is a senior studying Mechanical Engineering from Boulder, CO. She competes in the Novice division and her favorite part of PET is “Being around others with the same passion!”

Jessica adams – public relations
Jess is a senior studying Biomedical Health Sciences with a Pre-PA Concentration from Algonquin, IL . She competes in the Limit division and her favorite part of PET is “Being able to continue riding, something I love, while being away at school!”

Abby Cole – fundraising
Abby is a junior studying Cybersecurity from Ashburn, VA. She competes in the Open and Intermediate divisions and her favorite part of PET is “How supportive all the teammates and coaches are!”

Sophia is a senior studying Accounting from Greenwich, CT. She competes in the Intermediate and Limit divisions and her favorite part of PET is “Being able to continue riding and competing in college with the best teammates and friends!”

sadie vinson – Assistant treasurer
Sadie is a sophomore studying Animal Sciences on a Pre-Vet track from Darnestown, MD. She competes in the Limit division and her favorite part of PET is “The community! Everyone is so supportive and welcoming and I love being able to meet all of the different members who I wouldn’t otherwise know.”

Gwen weaver – secretary
Gwen is a senior studying Animal Sciences on a Pre-Vet track from Hebron, IN. She competes in the Pre-Novice division and her favorite part of PET is “All of the wonderful horses we have on the team.”

Haylie is a junior studying Speech Language and Hearing Studies from Brownsburg, IN. She competes in the Intermediate and Limit divisions, and her favorite part of PET is “Getting to ride and experience different horses and the friends I have met.”.

Medi is a senior studying Animal Sciences on a Pre-Vet track from Columbus, IN. She competes in the Novice division and her favorite part of PET is “Getting to go to different shows and ride a variety of horses. Plus, meeting new people at events and in the team is great. It’s a cool way to connect with others who love the same sport that you do!”
