Clay
Clay came to the team in the fall of 2024. He is a 13 year old Oldenburg gelding from Three Ships LLC based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Clay has an extensive show record in the hunters at GLEF, Kentucky, WEC, Lamplight, and Brownland. He is an eye-catching high quality hunter with top placings on his record. Clay best teaches riders of all levels confidence and feel.

Uno
Uno is a 15 year old KWPN gelding from Three Ships LLC based out of Indianapolis, Indiana with considerable show experience in all 3 rings from National Finals to WEF. He is the ultimate packer with the easiest lead change in the barn. We were happy to add this barn favorite in the fall of 2024.

Grace
Grace is a 15 year old Westphalian mare based out of the east coast. Grace has been to Capital Challenge, WEF, Lake Placid, WIHS, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, and WEC. She recently competed in the Large Junior Hunters with current Purdue team member, Abby Cole. Since joining us in the fall of 2024, Grace’s calm demeanor and large stride lets riders feel the ideal hunter ride.

Brinley
Brinley is a 14 year old Belgian Warmblood mare bred by owner, Kaelyn Stevick DVM. This sweet mare came to us in the fall of 2024. Brinley has a lot of experience in the hunter show ring, specifically at WEC, Kentucky, Brownland, and Brave Horse in the 3′ Adult Hunters, while training under Rinehart Farm in Indianapolis, IN. Brinley teaches riders how to ride softly and balanced. Her kind personality makes her a favorite in and out of the saddle.

Karl
Karl is a mid-twenty year old grey warmblood. Karl is a legend in the show ring, and we are lucky that he continues to teach our riders as his step-down job. In his prime, Karl had experience in all 3 rings. He showed at WEF, Capital Challenge, Upperville, Ocala, Kentucky, Brownland, St. Louis, and Lamplight. Karl even showed at shows that are not around anymore, such as Traders Point Hunt Charity Horse Show and Circle City. He was a staple in the Treesdale Farms program for many years. He often showed in all of the top equitation classes including the Talent Search class, placed in International Hunter Derbies, regularly showed in the Large Junior Hunters, and dabbled in the Child/Adult Jumpers. Karl is truly a jack of all trades, and now enjoys teaching beginner lessons. His favorite thing to teach is how to ride with your leg on all the time. Karl still often perks up when you point him at a jump, and can show up some of our other young ones on course with his expert form, ability to hunt the distances, and perfect lead changes. Karl is one of the best in the barn, and we are happy to have such a legendary horse that has done so much for so many riders!

Beetle
Beetle is a Haflinger cross gelding who came to us in the fall of 2024. Along with his owner, current Purdue team member, Charlotte Doekes, he has been to many shows. Beetle has also been on other college IHSA teams and is a favorite draw, in any region that he goes to! Beetle is a tried and true lesson pony who gives confidence to beginner riders, while still reminding advanced riders of their foundational skills.

Auddie
Auddie is a handsome gelding who came to us in the fall of 2024! He has competed in the jumper ring with his owner, current Purdue team member Aveena Rawal. Auddie has an enjoyable gait to flat and teaches riders important flatwork skills while riding a course. We are very excited to have Auddie join our herd!

Monaco
Monaco is a handsome 17h Warmblood who came to the program in the spring of 2022. He has experience in the hunter show ring and loves to help riders learn how to balance a powerful, talented horse. Monaco expertly teaches members how to ride one rhythm around a whole course and support him to the gap so he can jump in top form. Monaco is a region favorite in the Open and Intermediate divisions at shows!

Rio
Rio is a 16h registered Paint that has experience from the USHJA ‘A’ circuit to the Paint Horse Circuit. He has earned a Reserve World Champion title with his owner and former Purdue Equestrian Team member, Kaitlyn Blessing. Rio came to the team in the fall of 2023, and with his educated background helps riders learn valuable lessons over fences, while his patient demeanor under saddle teaches Purdue’s beginner riders how to sit a bouncy trot. He truly is a horse that is able to teach all levels!

Brier
Brier is a 15 year-old OTTB who came to us from South Carolina in the summer of 2022. She is the most elegant mare in the herd. Brier teaches lessons that emphasize how to ride the typical OTTB on the flat. Her patience and comfortable gaits let riders gain the tools to have a successful ride on a quick-footed horse.

Accolade
Straying away from the classic chestnut mare stereotype, this sweet mare is a team favorite! Accolade is a 14 year old Oldenburg/TB mare, with a dressage background, who came to us in the fall of 2022. With a natural motor, balanced gaits, and a workman-like attitude, Accolade proves to be the most used mount semester after semester. She is a true staple to our herd and has blossomed into the ultimate Limit draw at shows.

Frazier
Frazier is the heart of the Purdue Equestrian Team and has been a staple for just about as long as we can remember! Frazier is a mid-twenty year old QH gelding. He loves his job, and often excitingly gives beginners the license to canter. He builds confidence in riders of all levels and his personality makes everyone smile. Even though he is in his later years, Frazier has a heart for jumping and still enjoys it as much as any other horse on the team.

Axle
Axle is a QH gelding full of spunk who loves to jump! He is able to teach riders of all levels, from helping beginner riders advance their trot skills to cruising around a course with riders over fences. His sweet personality and fun ride make him a wonderful horse for all to improve with.
